Is my dad telling me terrible things or is it just me?

I'm getting very dissapointed in myself and put-down because my dad is always comparing me to other family. Tobe more specific: "Look at your cousin he is involved in two sports, football and baseball. You need to be more competitive." "I'm just trying to form your life to make it better otherwise if you don't you will grow up to have a very dull life." "Look at your sister, she has alot more determination than you." Ok this is regarding to me not liking cross country. He twitches whnever he hears that i never like going. He says he wants me to be brains and bronze. He tells me i need to work out. He completely ignores the fact that even though my cousin is great at sports he has bad grades in school. He doesnt even notice my D- or C-.It gets very hurtful when he talks like this espesciall since im trying as hard as i can just to make him proud. Im taking world history honors, Biology, Geometry, Spanish, And English honors as a freshman and come home after practice at 5:30 exhausted and unable to do homework. But he just keeps with his speech. /is this right?
