I have terrible allergies, and an important meeting tomorrow....?

Last weekend I not only had the Claritin daily, but took a "Members Mark" allergy pill, which is 2mg chlorpheneramine maleate (always works well on me) and 5 mg phenylephrine. That combination worked pretty well. (There's also 325 mg of acetominophen.) Try that.
