I need to change my album's artist on my Zune software?

It's so stupid! Argh. I need to change it from 'Unknown Artist.' I clicked "list" and could edit it from there, but if I then click "Browse" and then "Artist," it still shows up as unknown! Can anybody please help me? I'm going nutters!
